Looking for encouragement

I feel like I've been screwing up everything lately and for some reason I feel like I'm at fault for everything that goes wrong around me.  Like if someone is in a bad mood, I immediately assume that I made it worse.  Or that I'm never quite good enough, and trying my best doesnt' make a difference.

I know thinking these thoughts isn't helpful or rational, and will only make things worse.  I can't seem to "snap out of it" and it's really wearing on me.

And I feel stupid asking for people to say nice, encouraging things, but I really need to hear something supportive or comforting.  This spiral of self-loathing is a strong one and no rational thoughts of my own are helping to pull me out.

I've been feeling similar friend. Maybe you need a mini vacation? Take time to destress and spend some alone time meditating. Go get a massage, go for a walk, go swimming.

Maybe. Still, right now I could just use some encouraging words. Not really looking for advice, though those ideas do sound very inviting and I will definitely be taking plenty of walks.

Well I think you seem like a smart nice person so I'm sure you will figure something out. I think it's a good trait to take blame for things and not make excuses. It shows maturity and responsibility. You would make a good manager. Just don't beat yourself up. Take the blame then tell yourself it's ok and let it go. Sometimes I struggle to do that but it's really the best thing to do so you aren't at war with yourself.

I think you're very articulate and self-aware, and I appreciate that you are a considerate and sensitive person. I've done the same thing you're doing, and it's really hard to break that tendency. I've found what helps for me is questioning these thoughts and also reminding myself that I don't have all the facts. Take care!!!
