Looking for a new me...
I finally have health insurance again. It becomes active Feb. 1, 2017. I've gotta start by seeing a gyn because of menstrual type cramps, back pain, other sharp stabbing pains. I've had a lot of pelvic pain and it feels like my right ovary clear through to my back is on fire. I even had groin pain so bad in Oct. at the inside top of my right thigh, It hurt really bad to walk for 4 days, then I woke up and the pain was gone. It all started in July of 2016. I went to an urgent care and after a urinalysis was told I had a UTI, so they prescribed Cipro for 3 days. I took it and felt no better. Flash forward to early October, pains getting stronger and more often. So I decide to go to the ER, was told the same thing a UTI, prescribed Keflex for 5 days and tramadol for pain. Took all of this too, now it's Jan. 23, 2017 and I'm still suffering from this pain. No pain or frequency in urination. I'm 62 and post menopausal. I've googled my symptoms, I'm so confused as to what's going on with me. Sounds like possible endometriosis but I don't know? I'm really worried about this. I'd love to hear from anyone that has gone through this too.

I’m also dealing with this they told me they see a mass but it also showed endometrial thickening I’m very confused and sad myself and really hurting
So I ended up going to the ER because I was sick of not getting any answers. Blood work showed renal insufficiency. So it was recommended I go back to my urologist. They ordered a bladder/kidney ultrasound and 2 days later I get the call, large mass seen and I was scheduled for surgery a few days later to have a stent placed to get my kidney functioning properly again. Meanwhile they said to go see your GYN, I did and he saw it via transvaginal ultrasound. Large ovarian cyst, melon size, possible ovarian cancer. In the next few weeks my left leg swelled and became too painful to walk. Back to the ER and diagnosed with a DVT, admitted for 3 days to begin treatment. Of course this put the cyst on the back burner for awhile and I missed my next GYN appt. But my doc didn't let me down, he showed up at the hospital recommending an excellent GYN Oncologist. So a week later I met him and began my chemo treatments on Jan. 17. He's almost 100% sure it's ovarian cancer, no surgery yet because of the DVT and blood thinners I'm on. My CA125 seems to be responding, it's gone down to 165 from upper 400's. I will have a repeat CT Scan on the 16th and meet with my oncologist on the 20th to compare my original scan to this new one. All I wanted was a diagnosis and surgery to remove the beast. We won't know how bad it actually is until surgery can be done. I'm hoping we might finally be able to move forward and plan a hysterectomy, I'm 63 post menopausal, if I no longer need it I want it removed. Good luck to you, I wish you well.
