Looking back and moving forward
I realised today i always beat myself up for not being able to do this and that, like not being able to stop calorie counting and such, then i realised there are lots of things i can do that i once couldnt. I realised whilst it is important to look ahead at the journey you still must take towards recovery, it is also important to look how far you have come, and in seeing how far you have come you realise that you really can overcome the hurdles that are still infront of you, no matter how impossible they may seem. I look back and i barely managed a meal a day at the beginning of this journey, then eventually i managed 3 small meals a day, but only one could have carbs, then i managed to make those meals bigger, then i had carbs at two meals, and then three, and then i started having snacks, now i can eat out with friends, i respond to hunger, i stop when i am full, i choose foods i want to eat and am eating a wider variety of foods everyday. Because it has been small steps i forgot how much i had achieved, but now i realised i have come a long way, yes there is a way to go, but looking at how far i have come i know i can achieve more. I will beat this things, i know it, it isnt taking any more of my life from me, its just not worth it.
