Due to the coronavirus pandemic, people were forced to isolation and began to quarrel. Variety editor started collecting break stories

The media are discussing the success of a paid portal that publishes real stories of people who broke off relations due to quarantine. It all started with a Twitter post by the American social media editor of Variety magazine Meg Zukin, who asked subscribers to tell how the quarantine affected their personal lives. The tweet went viral, and there were so many stories of breakups that the journalist collected them on a separate website.

“I live with my ex. We broke up, but because of the quarantine, I cannot leave the house. The universe wants me to stay with this stuffy one, ”says one of the girls. And similar from men: "It is no longer possible to endure it, we are getting divorced."

Variety magazine social media editor Meg Zukin receives dozens of messages from those who are locked up with neighbors, partners, children and parents and have already managed to hate them. He publishes them all anonymously on The Social Distance Project website, and charges one dollar for access.

The quarantine lasts a couple of weeks, but the portal has already collected more than 5 thousand dollars. Zukin distributed the money to 30 charitable organizations. Now the stories of ruptures due to quarantine are freely available, but readers are encouraged to donate to the project - to share money with those who need it now.
