Unfortunately, all too often, we get those unwanted guests that wreck havoc on our summer fun. But don’t fret, because I’m sharing some summer pest control and prevention tips to help keep those pesky bugs at bay. I’ve partnered with Wil-Kil Pest Control for this article. If you have a pest problem, you should start by identifying the kind of pest you are dealing with so you can look up appropriate solutions. Observe the kind of damages, look for droppings or signs of nesting and contact a professional if you are not sure how to identify the pest.

Avoid using pesticides that you can purchase in a grocery store. These are usually extremely potent to humans, but do little to get rid of the pest problem. They also require a lot of preparation and clean-up. If you choose to use chemicals to rid your home of pests you will likely find more success using a professional.

Vacuuming your home on a weekly basis is the best way to get rid of pest. Use your vacuum on your mattress too if you have bed bugs. Replace the vacuum bag regularly and invest in a quality carpet cleaning mousse if you want to disinfect your entire home efficiently.

Pesticides are very efficient but these products are harmful for the environment. If possible, use cleaner methods to get rid of your pest. A lot of home remedies work and there are some efficient products on the market that contain a low amount of chemicals. This is the best approach if you have pets or young children in your home.
