Long weekend alone!

Well, my hubby started his new job in a new state this week and so far he is happy.  But since he has to come back Monday night for a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, he is not coming down this weekend and he suggested I not come up to see him and save the gas money.  We live (or I do, now!) 4 hours' drive from the new job.
So I made plans, was already getting my hair highlights renewed tomorrow morning, so I called a friend I don't see often enough and we are doing GIRL TIME TOMORROW!  Yahoo!  Meeting at the best Goodwill in our area for a little competitive shopping (she finds cooler stuff than I do so I have to find good things to trade for them).  Then a little cheap lunch together that fits on my WLS plan, probably something Chinese minus the noodles or rice.  Love me some Panda Express, yeah buddy!  I was so excited when they came to our area, as a former Californian I was missing them big time.  My friend is one of the few who know about my surgery, so I can be totally relaxed and not worry that she will make comments that I eat funny (!)
My goal is to find some cute chunky jewelry to wear because lots of my stuff is too conservative and the scale is off somehow with what is happening today.  Plus I will probably pick up a few tops to shrink into, tomorrow is half-off day, after all!  My previous finds from there are now part of my go-to group of favorites.  Might also look for some stuff for hubby's soon-to-be temporary home.  I won't be moving for at least 6 months, keeping my job and seeing how things work out before trying to sell a house and all that jazz.
On the weigh-in front, haven't weighed for almost two weeks.  Sunday will be "the big reveal".  One thing about not weighing much, it keeps me from stressing, but another good thing is that it keeps me CONSCIOUS!  Since I don't see the weight I know I have to be careful and stay on track if I want to be happy when I finally weigh in.  So far it's working, when I am faced with temptation I remember that whatever I do will eventually show on my butt...for good or ill!

Ha, ha I WON the competitive shopping this time (my first time) I found the coolest stuff. But no jewelry at this store :-( I DID however, find a Perry Ellis wool carcoat with classic lines that is perfect for my elegant friend, and I scored a very nice black leather purse. If anyone is a fan of \"The Closer\" this is a \"Brenda bag\"! It was originally from Wilson leather, got it for $2.50. Yee haw! Also found two wool blend blazers for fall-winter, a heavy dark royal blue linen-look one for fall, and a whole bunch of pretty shells to wear under a shirt or jacket. Spend about 40 bucks all told and got : 3 blazers, about 6 tops, 1 short-sleeved sweater, the purse, and a pair of brand-new Uggs-style clogs that had NEVER BEEN WORN! I plan to wear them indoors for slippers in the cold weather. They are cute and very comfy. Nice score for 4 bucks. Did I mention I LOVE Goodwill???
