Long Time Coming
I started walking again today, it has been over 5 months since my C-Leg and it's
double wall socket with elevated vacuum were laid aside. I had shrunk so much that
the equipment could not hang onto my stump any longer. After a series of
disappointments and having to fire my prosthetist of three years, I have hooked up
with another prosthetist and today, yes - a holiday, we finished up my new leg. It is a double wall Carbon Fiber with the Otto Bock H3 in-line vacuum system on a beautiful new Plie 2.0, on a very sexy new ankle and foot whose name escapes me. After 5 months in a wheelchair I have lost a lot of stamina but I'm after it hot and heavy.
