Long Story Short
Went in today for the consultation with the OBGYN my GP referred me to... He basically told me he didnt want to take on my case and didnt have enough time to take me on.... I'm like, then WHY did you agree to meet with me?? Took me off of the BC, the Met, and put me on progesterone (Provera specifically) to regulate my period and told me we should have a problem getting pregnant if we just take the OPK's and temps monthly... I'm like, what do you think we have been doing for the last eight years?!?! AND to top it all off, He actually had the audacity to tell me that he would only consider taking us on, and consider doing an IUI IF I were to agree to do it with a donors sperm because it would be on hand, and would require less time and work on his part because it would already be washed and ready for IUI... Didnt offer me any insight, any info, suggestions, ANYTHING.. So, it was a wasted day, and now I have to find a new OBGYN or RE. And, to be honest I am considering finding a new GP because she was the one who referred me to this crack doctor. Feeling defeated but not broken.. this is a set back, having had to wait nine months for a referral in the first place. But I will just find another doctor who is willing to actually do the work that is needed. OH!! Also, he wanted to just put me on pain meds and a mood stabalizer for the pms and pain that goes with it. He said to just call my GP and "she would deal with it".. PLEASE tell me there are good OBGYNS out there?? My mind is blown.. I have never met such a person. Have any of you ever experienced anything like this??
