Lonely
It has been a hard day. I went through your closet honey and removed all your shirts and pants. I will take them to the Goodwill. Your suits and jackets are still hanging. I had to stop it was so hard folding your beautiful shirts and putting them in a box, the loneliness is overwhelming these past few days.
I haven't been able to open your dresser drawers yet. That is going to be even harder because I know you always stuck little mementos, cards, things you wanted to keep forever in them.
I am managing better than I was for several months, the loneliness now is the hardest. I miss being with you so much. I miss our talks, I miss doing our projects together, I just plain miss your presence! You were so very, very supportive and pleasant to be with. Your smile, your willingness to help me with any thing I was doing, your appreciation for life, the happiness you got from the littlest thing. Your thorough enjoyment when planting your garden and watching it grow. Soooo many things I miss.
I will be OK, never the same, but OK. I am going to visit Mark and the family in Boise soon, then a week or so after I return I will be going to the Juice Plus+ conference. Trish is going with me this time! It is in Long Beach so we will drive and stay at Trish's daughter one night coming and going.
My love for you has grown even more. Yours always, Linda

Take your time -there is no rush. I still have clothes in his drawers (7 months later). Have given away lots of things, but will hold on to some things forever.
Hugs, Linda. This is a hard journey. I hate that I miss David all the time too.
Have fun at the conference. Soak up the sun.
More hugs.
Linda,
You are so right.....we will all be OK but never the same. I know it was hard to sort the clothes.......I was at ten months before I could bear it. Have a good time visiting your family.
Hugs, Dianne
Lindanne,
I just sorted through my husband\'s books... haven\'t touched his clothes but I know that each day I get closer to doing it. I found all the cards I ever gave to my husband stashed among books and magazines... I found comfort in them; he know that he was loved.
Take your time with it. When you are ready, you are ready.
Linda
My son offered to help me pack Frank\'s clothes etc. not long after his death - and I accepted. I knew it would be much harder to do it alone, and I was still quite numb then. Our son could wear some sport coats and jackets, so he kept those, and we donated everything else to a men\'s rehab facility in this area. I know it is a very hard thing to do, and believe me I UNDERSTAND the loneliness. It is a constant in our lives - but we WILL survive.
Hugs - Doye
I went through James\' things a little at a time. I had my daughter help me finish with everything last week. I kept some things that I couldn\'t part with and will keep forever. The loneliness is the hardest thing for me to, but we will all get through this and be ok.
Hugs,
Jean
Dear Linda,
OMG the loneliness is at times unbearable. Tomorrow is Dix BD. He would have been 78. I am going to have breakfast with my SIL & then pick up a thermostat so I can use the heater. It will soon be 8 months. I have a LOT of dress shirts in two garbage bags. I put them in there a couple of months ago. I promised myself that I would not look in those bags as I knew I would be pulling shirts out to keep. I will have my neighbor or SIL take them to a shelter. I can\'t donate them to the church. Some are very distinctive & I\'d die if I saw someone wearing one of them. I am keeping his A.A. Uniform, leather motorcyle jacket, a couple of dress shirts, & his work shirts & pants. I can wear them & it makes me feel close to him. I sleep in his flannel pajamas. I miss his laugh!!!! His tender touch. I loved for him to kiss the back of my neck. I have a lot of video. Him playing with the grandkids, doing improvements & riding his bicycle & motorcycle. There is no time limit. It hurts to read about your pain. We all know it so well. Love, Val
