Living with PHN for the past 7 months

well this is my first journal - Look my favor color:
I've been thinking about this for a few weeks - I went to my nices Wedding receiption on January 9, 2010 - and I didn't feel good that day and when I got home - everything that I ate came back - and after that all those days I was sick and I didn't know what was wrong with me until the day I woke up with the rash -  but when I saw the rash on my forehead that saturday morning I did not know what it was - so I said I will waiting until monday morning I did think it maybe the cream I was putting on my face - but I was going to call the doctors office on monday any way, but then sunday came in and I started to fell bad headack so I would call the doctors office and see who was on call - then the pain got worst and the doctor said to me if the pain get any worst call me back and you can go to the hospital - so I went down stair for something small to eat - omg I could not understand the pain that was going through my right eye I had to stay down there until the pain went away - so i did call the doctors back and said I was comming to the hospital - she told me I could but of course I through of my job and call my boss up to said I would not be in to work on Monday - and he told me to get to the hospital - so I call up my girlfriend maribeth and her and her mom Rita took me to the hospital - well they drop me off and I went in - I could not sit down - they didn't have chair with no arms - and thats another little story - so I wait for a while and then someone came and got me - well in the mean time Rita was talking about her sister-in-law who had shingles and didn't look like mine - so I went in - Maribeth and Rita came back for me - and they gave me percet at the hospital - and gave me the antiviral drug - don't rememeber which one it was - so we went to get these pills - or I gave them to them and talk to the pharmacy so I could go home and rest, the hospital told me to make sure that the rash didn't spread - so one morning they look like they where spreading so call the dr office got an appt - went in to see this doctor of mine that I did not like at all - well continued this later.

Looks like we both had the same type of shingles, but yours was on the right, mine on the left. We can say that we no longer have shingles. What we now have is the result of having shingles where the nerves have been damaged. I hope, that with time, our nerves will heal.

There are two nerves that surface from behind the eyeball and go up under the eyebrow. These are the affected nerves. My eyebrow is not swollen, but is where the greatest sensitivity is at. I just barely touch the hairs and it hurts. The area below my eyebrow is swelled a little and my eyelid too. That swelling came back after being fine for a month.

I take the hurting as a sign that, yes, I still have nerves that work. The problem is that they don\'t work correctly. Time may heal that problem. Hope!
