living with afib and doing OK.
Hello my name is Jim, and this is my first entry ever on a site for afib. I have been living with afib now for 6 to 7 years, and have been doing ok with it. I am now 56 years old, and sometimes feel like I am 80. I still am active and work out, but nothing like I used to do. I feel that if I lift weights like I used to I get palpitations and it frustrates me. I also get palpitations sometimes when just sitting or sleeping so there is no rhyme or reason to it and that frustrates me as well. I have had an ablation about 3 years ago and it went fairly well, but it hasn't healed me or rid me of my symptoms entirely. I know that many times you need multiple procedures and that as you get older symptoms come back and change but I just want to do and know all I can about improving and beating this disease! I am grateful and blessed in many ways because I am in a normal sinus rhythm most of the time, and I thank God for that every day, but I still feel more can be done to live a more afib free life. Any advice would be awesome! Thanks and God bless all living with this disease!
