~~~~~Living Life ~~~~~
Well its officially been 3 years now living with the Dreaded HIV Disease and over the past 3 years I have learned a lot about this Disease and have made some very good connections as well as friends.....I will agree tho theyre is still a lot of stigma out there and I run into it a lot around Oklahoma.. SO many out there act like u have the plague if u tell them u have HIV, It is also on some levels a very lonely exsistence to some degree for yes we go to the Doctors and what not but being they don't have the Disease they have no clue what many of us deal with on a daily basis ... It wasn't till I found this site that I found out I could be open and not be judged by anyone for I am finding out a lot live with this disease daily and it makes it easier for me to chat with someone who does not judge me rather then trying to explain myself to others.3 years ago I was honestly not sure which direction to go in with my life but now I am finding out theyre is still life with HIV, and that I could do things normally like anyone else but it does take me a lot more time then someone who does not have an affliction . For one I do have the fatigue now that most experience as well as I was also diagnosed with diabetes and copd as well and still trying to recover from another stroke which I had last January.. the neuropathy causes me a lot of probems but I still get around pretty good. About 4 mnths ago I was diagnosed with MND or ALS as others put it and I will say that has changed me a lot for I have not quite came to terms with it but im trying..i don't sit back and expect people to feel sorry for me I figure as long as I am still able I will still do the things I love doing most one of which is photograpy and gardening and cooking, I also love to travel and if and when I do get the chance I would love to be able to buy a RV or camper and do some traveling before im not able to do so anymore ...My family has been there thru thick and thin with me and I also have a few people who I am very close to and would consider family they have also been there for me as well especially when my emotions are on a roller coaster at times.. But one thing I can say the one most important person to me is always there and That's GOD for he is always listening when I am feeling down or at the end of my rope he is always there to pick me back up and to help me go on with life ..reminds me of the saying of footprints when u thought u were walking alone it was then that I was carrying u ..and I to this day believe he does just that he has a purpose for each and every one of us he is always there listening even if we try to blame him for our troubles he still does not turn his ear to us he still loves us no matter what he is still our Father,In some ways I hate to say it but I feel being diagnosed with HIV has definitely made me a better person for before I didn't really take life serious and I didn't cherish how precious it was till I was told I was going to die and theyre was nothing they could do..Everyone who knows me tells me I am a fighter as well as an inspiration to others I don't consider myself special by any means but I do feel like my life was spared for reasons I have yet to figure out but im working on it .. it has made me see life is very precious and we half to make each day count for something and we need to learn something from everything we say and do for nothing is promised to us we might go to bed tonite and not wake up in the morning so while we can lets make each day count for something .I sit back and watch all the bad news on the TV and all just like everyone else but what I get from it is not just the bad things happening its GODS way of telling us u my people better wake up and pay attention to whats going on for I am coming soon and u all had best be ready ... the BIBLE... means basic instructions before leaving earth and that's exactly what it is something we should be thinking about every hr and every day and asking ourselves what would GOD do ... One of the things I want to do now more so then anything is I want to get back to what life was before all the new gadgets came about I want to be a homesteader and grow my food and raise my food and start maybe with what I grow be able to help others out there less fortunate then I am .. I want to give back and help people as well as helping myself at the same time for theyre is no greater joy inside then knowing we are doing what GOD always intended for us to do and how he wished us to be when he created us ... But anyway this is how some of my year so far is going im still alive im undetectable and doing pretty good all things considered and I want to say GOD Bless to all and may u all have a better day and life in general..........
*hugs* I used to work in a human research lab and we would get samples of HIV blood to put in the tubes. We took greater precaution with that sample, and just SOP for the rest . Who knows how many of those tubes had HIV. The judgement comes back to you even it\'s in the hospital
I\'m so sorry about your new illness..
enjoy each day... do what you want while
you can.
