Livestock Do NOT Increase Atmospheric Carbon

Livestock do NOT add to atmospheric carbon because they are part of the natural carbon cycle.   The eat plants which extract CO2 from the atmosphere, and they return CO2 to the atmosphere (just as we humans do on every exhalation), which in turn feeds plants.   There can be no net increase in carbon from any number of livestock because livestock ALWAYS consume plants, and the plants they consume ALWAYS extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere!

This carbon cycle is necessary to life on earth.

In contrast, burning fossil fuels takes carbon that was locked up in fossils (not in the atmosphere) and releases it into the atmosphere.

The idea that livestock are the drivers of changes in the carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere is just bullshit.
