Live Puzzling
The exterior of the honey barn remains unfinished, but I feel fully justified blaming it on the weather. Prettier weather is on its way.
The odd space in the brood house remains too full of project clutter to work on and, again, I am blaming that on the weather. It is only a few hundred or so yards to the tinker's den where those tools are stored between projects, but that is far enough to seriously muck out a pair of shoes in the wet ground covers. For now, it is okay enough on the LFL (Long Fucking List).
The odd space is separate enough to be ignorable in the main room. Hubs dedicated part of Saturday and all of Sunday getting his digital jungle moved into the brood house. I amnae fully certain, but it might have been his need for a second set of hands to carry his last desk out which interrupted yesterday's journal entry. He logged into his corporate gig shortly after that desk was moved after giving me blessing to treat his abandoned office space as a blank canvas.
4 empty corners to work with was entirely too much distraction to allow me to get back to keyboard tapping. I spent yesterday pulling the sewing corner out of the dining room and the kid center out of the front room in preparation for the Spring Break visit with the GKs. Before he left for his new office commute his morning hubs helped me disassemble and move the "Sky Bed," as the GKs call it, into the the abandoned office space. This type session finds me sitting on the futon chouch beneath the sky bed analyzing the results of the new configuration. Easy TV viewing? Check. Sewing center functional? Check. Graphics studio functional? Back to your cage, Mister Anthony Picasso. Works in progress. . . Storage closet? Works in progress. . . A newly empty corner in the dining room? 2 more empty corners in the front room? Should I alert the anti-clutter guards?
Looking forward to the GK visit feels ? ? ? Dangerous? As of last week, the Casework and the other grandparents all approved. The parental units were informed. On paper, it all looks good, but it still feels like an STBX minefield. Protective gear advised. Ya never knows which step will trigger an explosion. More small steps and big faith.
I suspect the GKs will like having their play space closer to both the kitchen and the bathroom. Closer to the back door, too. The front door is in the front door and the barns and brood house are all out the back door.

It sounds like you very much have your hands full, Arfie.
This entry is so relatable once again. My own “LFL” has me juggling more than usual between the list, appointments today and a visit from our landlord. Even with advanced warning and the house looking as usual decently cleaned but with a definite lived in look of mild disorder, my ocd is cringing at visitors without my house in a state of picturesque perfection.
I only have so much energy today though. I exhausted myself thoroughly enough to sleep through three alarms this morning, waking up to the alarm reminder it was time to leave for DBT class, which I arrived an hour late for. I’m just not sure I have the energy left to tackle the last little details, my bedroom and my husband’s man cave before the visitors arrive.
Good luck, my friend and hugs & love.
