little up and down...but the week is getting better
Today, I think I need to be very patient with myself. I have to learn to be content with my life, even with its excruciatingly slow pace. I have a long ways to go, but I've also come a long ways. I was reading this book the other day, one that I absolutely couldn't put down about how negative thinking stops the creative process...and it just confirmed in my heart and mind what my mom told me a while back--that when I say bad things about myself I agree with satan. I am God's daughter, and need to appreciate and respect myself, and what the Lord is doing in me!!
I got to get out of the house the last couple of days, yay!! My friend Mallory and I went out to eat Mexican food, hung out at the mall, and got frozen yoghurt. We had a great time and are going out dancing next week! :)
I am going to my turners meeting on Sunday for the first time since December, and am feeling a little anxious, but not too bad.
My Grandma and I argue a bit, but little by little a tough week is going back to a pretty even keel, and for that I am SO SOOO grateful! I got a bible today, and I am going to take very good care of it and give it special meaning as a means to my spirtual growth....I know I need the word of God to nourish me in Him.
Hugs...I hope you all have a weekend full of God's peace and joy, and remember how much He cares for you, and wants to take every burden on His own shoulders because He loves you that much.
God bless you,
-Jasmine
P.S. Something I did good today, was take constructive criticism without hating myself...yay!

I too have got to learn to be patient and appreciative of myself as a daughter of Abraham rather than agreeing with satan by saying negative things about myself. We need to be thankful for each beautiful day God brings us, for the gifts & talents bestowed upon us.
\"Thy Beauty Upon Us\"
Thank you Lord for the gifts of painting and poetry
You have bestowed upon me
The twisted pains and strife of life
Are dribbled out and painted into the form of your hope
Dedicated unto your light and life
Thank you Lord for your Word
Which guides my heart and hand
For those who would read or see
That it is dedicated testimony to Thee
Lord Jesus Christ of my life.
yeah...so true. :) Thanks Carol!
Hi Jasmine, sorry I havent been there for you lately or to comment on your posts. I\'ve been away, unfortunately my 29 yr. old nephew committed suicide and I went home to Eastern Cananda for a week or so to be with the family and to attend the funeral. So sad!!! I was so glad to get back yesterday tough and too be able to get back in my own church this morning. I\'m glad that you\'re getting your life back on track and you know Jazi it is only normal to have set backs in our life, sometimes they are even good for us so that God can strenghted & decipline us. We\'re his children and he wants us to praise & trust him even when the road looks dark. I\'m so proud of you and remember the words of your mom, so true. Love you tons, bear hugs, Glenda
