Little skinny white girl,I AM Not!

wen i was little my mum an my brother (kishen) lived in the country near the top of the south island of New Zealand.the only sign of descrimination id ever seen was wen we first moved there some ladies came to tell my mum that "her sort"-single mums, were not welcome.mum promptly told them to "fuck off" and then threatend to set the dogs on them if they didnt piss off.i remember holding my brother on the virander thinking this was very strange.Later we moved to the north island and o boy my fight began. At school the kids would tease and bully my brother.i would sit with him at lunch and defend him with everything i had, school bag included.they would say "he cant be ur brother ,he's black!".well i never new this,he was just my brother to me and a lovely brother.i remember Mr Loop pulling my brother by the ear and me flying across the feild my satchel swinging and yelling "you leave my brother alone!!!"i was all of 8,hahhahaha a funny little girl.after that it was the "your mums fat "fight.i cum from a family of big people.in my head i was a black 22 stone woman !wen they put my family down it hurt me so bad.to this day i am anti discrimination.i have asked people to leave my house for their stink comments.and am still a defender of my people.yep this skinny white girl is also made up of all the people she's loved and hav loved her.smile,i feel so lucky.

Terriann, I LOVE this journal. OH I do I do. One of my best friends is white married to a black man, her daughter was born the same day as my son, and we have been friends since we met in story hour when they were 2 years old. She has the most beaituful 2 girls. Anyway, I know that they have dealt with some ugly stuff...Even though as a whole the community here is very welcoming and inclusive of everyone except drug dealers of any color, LOL. Good for you, fighting for him good for you....

Good for you for knowing what is important! Lots of hugs!

What a story! It\'s awesome how you stood up for your brother like that, it\'s very inspiring and makes me hopeful for the end of discrimination in the world. Hugs and smiles! =]
