Little by Little

Updated both my goals today. Find happiness - I'm getting there little by little.  Don't think about him at all but I do think about the marriage ending.  Still disappointed in him as a father and a man.  Probably always will be.  I pretty sure our divorce will be final soon and then I'll probably wonder how long before he moves in with his little chickie.  But I already know I won't dwell on that.  Just passing thoughts that I guess should be normal.  Two things I still know for certain.....1) It's his loss.  All the way around.  2)  I believe, no matter what I've been through, that God has a better life planned for me.   Get my divorce finalized - I know he and his lawyer have drafted up an agreement.  I know I won't accept it because he already told me what it will entail (without revealing how much).  I would rather take my chances with the judge.  Hopefully the judge will tell him this is how much you must pay this woman per month whether you have a job or not.  But no matter what I'm sure I'll have to take him back to court for real spousal support at sometime down the road.  I think they are waiting until the 60 day deadline, which is March 8th, to present it to me.  Maybe he thinks the judge will rule in his favor.  Anyway, what will be will be.  But I'm thinking it should be finalize soon. I'm in a good place right now emotionally.  I can look forward to the day and enjoy my blessings more and more.  I may not understand my God at this point, but I trust that he is a good God and will reveal His master plan for my life in due time.

First of all dont back down to your stbx. Dont settle for just anything just to get it over with. My ex gave me everything I ask for. I already had my mind set to what I was going to accept and what I was not. I never had to go before the judge, my ex was a little scared when he found out my lawyer was a woman and so was the judge. Also your outlook on your future is great, it really hit home a friend of mine keeps telling me all of this has happened for a reason and that GOD has something better out there for me. I think he has a better plan for all of us.

Proud of you, Chrissy. His attorney knows that you won\'t take the first offer. After all, he\'s working for your stbx, not you. He\'s going to come in with a low ball figure. Be prepared to challenge it. I would go before a judge, too. That way, you know yourself how fair your stbx is being and if the law provides more then his offer.

You\'re working really hard at moving on - keep going. Love ya.

You sound great, Chrissy. Whatever you do, I know you are very smart but don\'t sign on the dotted line until you have what you want. I had to as the attorneys were eating up every penny. My ex husband does not pay anyway so it was not going to matter. What is the deal, you decide you want to leave the wife and kids so you loose the job so you don\'t have to pay? How nice is that. Where you live is it much more expensive to go in front of the judge? It is soooo much more so here for the attorney to go that far.
You should be so proud of yourself. Hope you continue being so positive everyday, it is a great place to be.
