Lisa's Angel Date
I made it through Lisa's first Angel Date. I cried most of the day, this morning literally on Joe's shoulder. My neighbour asked if I wanted to go for a walk - we did and stopped for lunch. Joe went to the library (he is a avid reader).
This evening, I went to my support group. It was better, in that we talked about sibling grief - a lot of what they said could apply to my granddaughter e.g. grieving much later.
When I got home, I sat in front of the fire with a glass of wine (okay 2 glasses) listening to nature music and thought about Lisa's life and the good times we had. I then wrote her a letter.
The fire has died. And I am at peace.

Oh sweet friend, thank God for the good times that we can cherish always and the peace in the midst of these storms. Much love and tight hugs, Linda
Allowing yourself to feel all that you needed to... oh, these days pull at our heartstrings. Perhaps in one way the \"fire has died\" yet I suspect something new will be created from the embers and the ash. Gentle thoughts continue and peace as you honor, remember and cherish your precious daughter, Lisa. Love, Joanie
I am sorry I missed your angel date, with mine so close, we seem to be in a whirl and I am back to walking in circles, peace to your heart, Nora
I am glad you made it through the 1st date. I had such a melt down in November, I guess with everything happening as they did last year at this time, and felt I couldn\'t take a breath..sorts scares me of my reaction at the end of this month on the 1st. year of Ken\'s passing...Maybe there will be some inner strength come from some where....Thinking of you...Sandi
I had a melt down last week. I had to take Ativan to get through. Yesterday was a bit surreal. The people in the group told me how strong and brave I was to go. I figured a bereavement group should be a good place.
I am not sure if I have inner strength or I just don\'t know what else to do.
I do know that FMO and my family and close friends keep me putting one foot in front of the other.
Always remember - we are here for you.\'
Many hugs,
Marlene - Missing Lisa for a year now.
The end the day at peace is such a blessing. So hard are these \"special\" days for us moms. Sending you extra tight, loving hugs, Teri.
Sorry Marlene about your pain. We definitely understand. Sending you a big hug.
This sounds like exactly what you needed for today. I have found that I need to go with the flow of emotions...and this is what you did. Allow that peace...sleep well...love and hugs...Karen
