Lion's Den
I went into the "Lion's den" tonight and did great! My neighbor/friend invited me and my family for a soup bar. Going to this friend's house in the past always meant getting wasted, and one of them would inevitably have to drive me home and make sure that I made it into my house. I had so much fun, even though other drank around me. I was able to laugh and have conversations that I will remember tomorrow, and the next day will not be wasted trying to recover from a hangover. This was a huge step for me, as I have been avoiding social situations where I might be tempted to drink. I am so proud of myself. I can have fun, and be fun, even sober. This was a big worry of mine.

Great job girl. Great accomplishment. Keep it going. Thinking about you and sending big hugs Ann love. How has your week been going?
Just saw your journal. I don\'t get here a lot but, I wanted to say hang in there. I am sober now for almost as long as you have been alive. I will celebrate 43 years, this coming Sept. I was a biker, drug user and, alcoholic. Been straight and clean now all these years and I left the Bikers as well.
