Life & Stuff
Well we are almost melting at this point in time. We've been having days where when you factor in the humidity we're hovering at or close to 100. I was more then happy with say mid 70's. I had to chuckle the other day when I could see some of the birds going abt their life & I think it's a birds way of sweating, hoping and/or walking around with their beaks hanging open. Hubby & I have a family of Blue Jays that frequent here for their meals but they were always having trouble getting their share of the peanuts cause of the squirrels. So we devised a way to put something out for them that can be almost their own. LOL, I know it's hot when I watched a Crackle land on the feeder & he just wasn't moving, not eating but not moving either. Then his head started to slowly lean over to one side. Believe it or not he feel asleep boom right there. I was worried abt him toppling off the feeder so I slowly opened the sliding doors & clapped my hands to wake him. Boy he just sprung awake kind of with a "what happened, whats going on" & then promptly flew away. It just looked so funny somehow.
Something strange-I'm kind of amazed at what it seems the Lord trusts me to do to help his animals & birds. I've got one Crackle(Peg) thats missing one foot. He seems to get along fine so I'm thinking he was born that way. I've got one other one that seems to have one leg & hip thats not right & one wing thats not quite right. He does reasonably well but he has to watch how he lands on certain surfaces cause his one leg is not to steady. His flying is not too strong either. So I do the best I can for them & the rest is in the Lords hands.
The bladder/UTI thing I had seemed to not go away completely so my dr put me on a 2nd round of antibiotics as he felt it may have spread to the colon. I went for a CT Scan which seemed to go OK. The tech was reviewing & questioning & inquired abt pain & where. She had been wondering abt Diverticulitis but she also stated that that type of pain I'd know darn well & I didn't. Things have gotten more balanced now so maybe the meds did the trick. Diagnosis of health issues gets complicated when lupus comes into play because it's hard to establish where an issue is coming from. So until I get the results of the CT scan my appt with the gastro dr in Sept will stay in place. When I hear all is fine then I can cancel that appt. It's once again reminded me that I've got to be a bit more watchful of eating habits. Does anyone find in summer like this your eating habits kind of get a bit wayward.
Been having some unstable blood sugar levels lately, leaning towards the lows a bit too much. Last evening was the weird one. I've got abt 20 min of time that I've got no memory of. Hubby said I was at the kitchen table with my head on my arms on the table. I think he was doing dishes. He said he knew something was up when the ph rang & I didn't answer it so he questioned me abt a blood test. I kind of remember telling him that I took one before supper. So he made me test again & boom low. I treated it & bounced back fast enough but still, weird. I reviewed the carbs I had with supper & realized I shd of taken abt 3 units less of insulin then I did. So, again get my act together on improved carb counting. I'd like to find or create some kind of chart or something to easily record the applicable stats & be able to make better decisions. I don't know if my computer skills will be good enough but hey I can always try, right.
Summers been hard on hubby. He feels so restricted & it angers him. He does not always feel like he's doing that well overall & there's so much extra burden on me at times. The best I can do is reassure him that we do fine with balancing life in our own way & it works for us. I think if we didn't have Angel we'd be looking at moving. But in the big picture we're exactly where the Lord wants us to be at this point in time.
Have been getting out to some farmer market places, you just gotta love all the fresh produce. YUM. The only thing I find is that I can almost buy too much then have to figure out how not to waste it. Gotta learn to get way more creative in this area so if anyone has any ideas please feel free to let me know.
Anywho I guess thats it for now so I'll sign off. Love & hugs to all!

Hope this UTI resolves, that\'s worrysome, friend. How about those sleepy critters, amazing how they have to cope. You\'ve sure had a heat wave! Wow, hasn\'t hit us here yet, but we did get to 29C over the weekend, raining today, finally. I know you love farmers markets, they are fun and colourful, not sure how much better the prices are though but it\'s worth the \'experience\'. HUGS to you....xxoo
