Life & Stuff

Well here I am folks & on one hand feel like there's all kinds of odds & ends to talk abt yet on the other hand I just don't know, so any way I'll ramble on.
Feeling reasonably well most of the time.  For abt a week now I've been having some intestinal diet issues, just some cramping & discomfort sometimes but I've gotten back on a more regular routine with my probiotics so I'm working on correcting this, so body of mine listen up.
Yoga just finished for the summer & although I'm always looking for more free time I'm also going to miss it as as far as balancing myself with lupus, yoga has the biggest benefit for me.  I'm thinking I seriously need to get a DVD player so I can invest in some yoga DVD's & to  maintain what I've accomplished.  I find for me if I'd just plan to say do yoga once a week on my own it just wouldn't work.  When I've got instruction to watch I've got much better motivation.  I like getting my bike out when I can but life has been interfering lately & just don't seem to make it work.
Weird situation here I'm confused abt.  We got a call fr our massage therapist whho we've been seeing for abt 8 yrs or more & we're very close to her on all levels.  She got an injury to one hand in that on one finger she succeeded in cat language declawing herself.  The drs said it could be maybe be 6 months before they'll know if there's permanent tissue damage. So she gave contact information to another place with someone she felt would be a good fit for us.  I set up appointments for us in abt a week and a half.  OK here's whats weird I'm dreading it, totally.  I can't stand the thought of a new facility, people we don't know, they don't know anything abt us, will they understand us, etc. etc.  For some reason I'm dreading having to step outside our protective comfort zone.   The thing is I can't understand why we're feeling this way.  Boy oh boy.  I get my hubbys concern cause he's worried will they understand the oxygen thing & are they prepared to proceed accordingly.  I'm really puzzling myself.
Hubby's well being is at that time of the year when he's very weather dependent so it makes some days a trial.  I always try & reinforce to him though that he at least always trys to be the best he can be & thats huge.  One hard day last wk when he was feeling kind of down he said that he can understand back when my dad had once said - why does it take so long to die - I was able to reassure him that the Lord still needs him here to help all his critters & birds & keep an eye on nature.  It seemed to help.
Do any of my friends remember a toy called Weebles.  We got this cat at the shelter & they called him Wibbles cause he wobbles due to a neuological condition.  So he wobbles & sometimes falls over.  It's so emotionally hard on me I doubt I can stay there & have to see this but anyway on Wed I all of a sudden thought of a line fr a commercial jingle "Weelbes wobble but they don't fall down".  It makes me smile for some reason - does anyone remember a toy called Weebles.
Anywho I'll sign off for now.
I's sending all my love to thank you for all for taking the time to check this out.

Yes, get a DVD for your yoga, they\'re not expensive and you can relax in your home...downward dog! Hope your digestive system gets back on track, I find they get weird as we get older. Do probiotics help with regularity? I vaguely remember Weebles but do remember that slogan, for sure. Enjoy your garden and nature and hugs to you and your DH. HUGZ

Hi, sweet friend!!! I remember the Weebles slogan too, but I don\'t think I ever actually saw one. Poor little Wibbles. I hope he can get some good help, bless his heart.
I can relate to not being comfortable with a new massage therapist. Mine had to have brain surgery due to an accident and afterwards she retired and I haven\'t found anyone who can compare. But try this person and maybe it will work out. I hope it does....for both of you. Love and hugs to you, precious friend!

So nice you enjoy your yoga, it must be really nice and fun. I hope your digestive system gets better. Glad to hear your hubby is doing well, I just went on the internet to see what weebles looked like, cute toy, never seen that one before. I love the way you have a cat from the shelter called wibbles. Poor little baby boy that he wobbles and falls over. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely journal, really enjoyed reading it. Hugs x

I understand the massage dilemma, but I would take comfort that this is a referral from a trusted
Boy I can relate to what your dad said. I feel like that often and I\'m only 51. I think chronic pain and just general malaise does that to a person.
I remember Weebles! I always wanted them, they were so cute. I\'m glad the theme song cheers you up, it must be so very hard to watch animals suffer. You are a strong woman tho, I couldn\'t work at or volunteer at a shelter. Some of the things people do to animals sickens me and flips a switch in me; I begin to really hate people, despise them and it is not good for my emotional well being.
Much love to you my friend and I hope the massages go well.
