Life is so cool without the cloud!

Hope everyone is doing well today!  I am so glad to be alive and soaking in all the blessings I have been given.  Now that the dark cloud of drinking has cleared away to let the sunshine in, its a joy to wake up every morning!  Not that we live the life of leave it to beaver, but it just all seems so much easier to deal with daily living now that the demon it gone.  And i'm happy to announce that my husband has finally quit drinking also!!!!! HAPPY DAY!  His diabetes is getting back under control as a result of him not drinking and also doing daily exercises.  I am very proud of him, since it was really a struggle for him to commit to being alcohol free.  He left this morning on a trip to Ohio for some management classes for his job and will be gone untill Sat.  At least the weather is good for his trip.   I still worry, but thats just me, a worry wart as my Dad use to call me.  This will be the first time that I will be the only one in the house, since my youngest son got his own place last summer.  Guess I could go home and jump on the bed, play loud music and eat junk food!!! LOL  Not really, just plan to do some extra cleaning and the taxes.  Maybe go pick a paint color for the kitchen.  Who knows, but I do know that I will not be drinking.  This time last year when he went away to school I got falling down drunk and broke my arm....... So glad that is not gona be a possibility this time. Congrats to all for the great job you are doing to improve your life!
