life is good today
Hi everyone, Steve is sleeping this morning, kinda worn down from the weekend. We got together with our car club yesterday and went to The Sam Bass Museum down at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. He is a wonderful artist and does all the artwork for the drivers in the racing circuit. He designs the color schemes for some of the drivers. The guys loved that day trip and I must admit I enjoyed meeting him also. He was such a nice person. Been thru some personal health issues himself, losing part of a leg to diabetes.
We just had a great day with friends. All of whom know and support Steve in his battle with cancer. We are having our biggest fundraiser of the year this Saturday. Relay for Life. Hope we raise lots of money for cancer research. Hope all of you are starting the week off good.
Steve is not having the issues with Sutent he had last month. Sore feet, really sore feet. So glad that the drug Sutent is around to help him. We will deal with the side effects.

Good for you Wanda , I can tell you from experience. Spend every spare minute with the peolple you love and cherish every second. You\'ll remember for the rest of your life. Prayers with you and Steve.

Wanda, what a wonderful week end you had. The car painting is such an art. I have always been fasinated by it. Always wanted my old van customized with murals. Oh the hippie in me comes out at times. I am so glad the Steve is doing better with the Sutent. Three cheers !!!! I hope to be around when some one find a cure, or find the gene that turn it off. I would like that. Have a good week. Sounds like you had alot of fun Wanda! I\'m glad he is doing better this time with a Sutent. You both give me hope for my husband when the doctors can be discouraging. Brian is out in the field discing right now, I hope he keeps it up. It feels like our lives are at least getting back on track as much as they can.

Wanda I want to thank you for your posts. You have made me believe that the odds can be beat and that there is a chance that we can have a almost normal life with rcc. GF was okay with the Sutent this cycle, so I just hope that it is doing its job. We will not know for another 6 weeks, but yours and Steve story have given me hope. Tricia
When I joined this forum my goal was to bring hope to others. You know my Steve doesn\'t talk much about his cancer. He leaves that up to me. He always tells me that He and God are handling this. But I get such comfort in talking to my Daily Strength friends. You are a blessing to MY life. Hang in there and hope all is doing ok today. Love to all, Wanda
