Life is Good :)

I turn 46 on the 14th of December.  At what age are we officially "old"?  Am I there yet?

I also started back to school in August.  Look at me, finally pursuing my goals.  I'm not sure I'll reach the finish line, or if there even is a finish line, but this feels right.

Marriage is good.  Kids are good.  For those who remember the issues we had with my daughter, she's 18, living on her own, works full time at Starbucks, is putting money into her 401K, and Starbucks will be paying for her college.  She's also managed to wrangle a solid skillset for coping with her depression and anxiety.  Middle kiddo is also doing well and enrolled in college for the Spring.  (I think he just wants to be like his mommy.)  Oldest is engaged to be married in September.

I am really blessed and enthusiastically happy about life right now.  It isn't easy, but man, things are so much better than they were a decade ago.  I remember reading journals of someone here on DS describing her recovery from infidelity and her saying something like, "this was the best thing that ever happened to us" and thinking she was batsh*t crazy.  I get it now, I really do.

So happy for you! Sounds like you’ve worked hard to achieve the peace, stability, and happiness you and your family now enjoy - good for you! And what an inspiration for those of us that still have a bit of hope. Thank you so much for posting this update!

Thanks, NatashaA. Coming here used to be a bit hard. Looking back, I remember so vividly the pain and sorrow I experienced and can be rough revisiting it. That said, there were long-timers who helped me, so I want to regift that, if possible.
