life is full of choices!

Uhhhh what to do what to do.... shall I go back to school and accumulate more debt? Stick with my current job and pray to get a raise, look for another job, when I love my job?  Should I learn to be happy with what I have and quit trying to get more.  See heres my thinking, if we have to put $ into having a baby, which is priceless to us then I dont know if I want to spend 30,000.00 going to get my ba, especially if were going to go into debt trying to have a baby, and if we get into major debt there is no way I will be able to stay home with my bebe... I think that I have answered my question. I think I think I think that I want to adopt.... I want to adopt because I know Ill make a good return on my investment, Im pretty much garanteed to get a baby.  IVF and just trying are not a sure thing for me and I want a sure thing and I like thinking that by adopting I am making a positive change in an innocent childs life that didt have a choice, just like I didnt choose this infertility! I want to be able to stay home and I dont think Ill be able to do that if I go back to school, what do my sanity sisters think?

I think you have pretty much solved this problem on your own. You want a baby and that is all there is to it. IVF is a huge expense and it is sometimes a gambling game. Just pray about it and you will know what is right.

As you know I have reciprocal/balanced translocation just like you and after my failed IVF we decided to go with an egg donor. I thought about adoption too. You will know whats best for you and your husband. I\'m here if you want to know about the whole IVF with an egg donor process. thinking of you

I think adoption is a wonderful option. I have a friend who after 4 miscarriages has started the adoption process and she couldn\'t be happier about it. Like you said, it\'s a sure thing. She\'s adopting from Korea and is hoping to have her baby within 18 months. You\'re still so young so you could always try IVF later in life if you decide you want to go that route too. Best of luck on your decision. It\'s nice to see a smiley face on your journal.

I think adoption would be a great option. There are lots of little ones out there that need a loving home. You are going to be a great mom:) You need to do what is best for you and your husband. Best wishes in making your decision. I will be thinking about you.

I have to agree with MerandJR. I know that IVF is not a guarantee...but doing it with donor eggs gives another option too. I am all for adoption also. I do have a friend that just learned that adoption was going to cost just as much as IVF would (just to keep in mind). Do your research on all your options. You can only make an educated decision when you have all the facts. That way you won\'t wonder what if later. It is a total personal choice. I am behind you 100% with whatever you decide! Good luck sweetie!

This is a really tough decision. I\'ve thought about it myself a lot. I love the thought of adoption. You are going to be a wonderful mom whatever you choose. I\'m praying for you & your DH. Good luck! :) Big hugs being sent your way!

Adoption is a great thing.. but if you\'re so worried about money and debt.. keep in mind that it is VERY costly to adopt. I know a few people in the process and it\'s unbelievable. I think regardless of what you do, major money is going to be involved. Ya just gotta be ready and prepared for whatever ya wanna do and whatever happens to come your way first! One step at a time missy.. no need to try and do/have everything all at once! :) Good luck with whatever you end up doing!!

Adoption is a wonderful thing. IVF like Jenclark said is a gamble, and I\'d hate to see you be disappointed. Besides you and your DH are loving people and there\'s a baby or child out there that needs your warm loving home. Weigh your options. Just because you adopt doesn\'t mean you have to stop trying to get preg and give birth to a biological child. there are many women who adopt and later have babies of their own.

Keep the faith and pray.
