Life In General
Darn it all! We had a bit of a spring snow storm hit Thurs mid day for a few hrs. Kind of off & on but still enough to make the ground white again. Winnipeg people were a slightly uphappy bunch I tell ya. So I'm thinking mother nature was playing a warped April Fools joke on us. Such is the way huh.
We're both doing reasonably well I think. Hubby has his regular cancer check coming up & I've noticed this time that it seems to be bothering him sometimes. He has moments where you can feel he's on edge & agitated. I do my best to make sure I try & find the balance of being avail for him yet giving him space as may need be. Talk abt feeling like a juggler sometimes. I think there might be some cabin fever at play also. He's had a stretch where he hasn't been out & abt as much as we're used to & I know that gets to him sometimes. I've tried to reinforce that now that the weather is "hopefully" changing that it will definitely change our days also. So we're consciously trying to embrace each day, each gift fr the Lord as it comes to us.
The last wk I was not at my best. Was having my spells of lightheadedness & such. I talked with my pharmacist & it's hard to tell what could be happening as when you're on a large amt of meds it could be almost anything. I just stop life, pace myself as necessary & let the rest of the world be. I need to focus on me at those times. I had some minor digestive issues so it got me wondering if maybe I had a bit of a bug of some kind. Starting to improve I think though, good thing right!
Easter will be quiet, just the two of us but I'm baking a ham, doing scalloped potatoes & baked squash. Would like to make maybe a no bake cheesecake but I'm not sure abt my energy - need to find a super easy, fast dessert idea, hhmmm.
On a funny note - I've got one squirrel that's stuck it all winter, tough little guy I tell ya, but whats funny abt him is his ears. If momma gave him nothing else, he got ears. Hubby had to laugh cause he says it makes him think of donkey ears. I told hubby that when this little guy was born, the Lord took a look at him & thought "I know the perfect people to help look after you" so he sent him our way. The little character always makes me happy somehow.

I take this moment to extend easter wishes & prayers for loving blessings for all.

That\'s a nasty April fools joke, we got some flurries too... enough white stuff already! I hope DH is okay and all goes well with his checkup, waiting is the worst part, really. Now, you I am concerned about. Have they taken a good hard look at all your meds to see how they are interacting? I\'m so glad that you know how to center yourself, that\'s an amazing ability, Kitty. Um, your Easter dinner sounds PERFECT, that\'s one of my fav. meals!!! Go for the cheesecake, I have a plaque on my kitchen wall that says \'Life\'s short, eat dessert first\'. LOL. Have you named this big-eared squirrel? It\'s amazing how much joy these creatures can give us. Saw my first robin last week, hear cardinals and blue jays too.... finches are the true sign that summer\'s coming though. Easter wishes and loving hugs to you and your DH. xxoo
Hi my sweet friend, Happy Easter and Spring to you. So you still have a little snow, hope your Sun is going to come out and give you lots of happy days with keeping you warm. That is good your Hubby has his regular check ups. Hope that the Easter Bunny was good to both of you today and gave you lots of Easter eggs. I love the story about the squirrels that is so adorable. We\'ve had an unusual early spring for once here. That almost never happens. I\'m hoping it sticks! Hope you weather breaks too.
