Life goes on
Sherman died Jan. 17. He fought so hard to stay with me, so I told him I would be OK and he could let go. Now the pain is more than I can bear. He had been here through mom's passing, getting custody of Paige and then the older girls, my daughter going to prison, and the rest of the craziness in my life. He always was by my side. In fact he loved me for years before I ever went out with him. We seldom ever fussed and he just loved me and wanted nothing back but my love. Good bye love.

GMJan, Hang in there, grief is a long process and you have alot going on in your life. I am truly sorry for the loss of your best friend, Sherman. I am a pediatric hospice nurse and the one thing that parents always tell me is that they feel so lucky for the short time they had their kids. That they were so blessed to be a part of the childs life. Remember the good times they will help get you through some the hard times to come.
And if your grandkids are like mine you won\'t get much time to grieve, but you gotta find it for yourself or you\'ll just drown in it later. Best Wishes

wow, I wish I would have ever had a love like that... ever.
During this period of loss, this may be hard to understand, but Shermans purpose in life was fulfilled and on an intuitive/spiritual level still surrounds you. He left this earth having found the love of his life and by his actions towards you, it definitely showed! That no doubt, is what hed want you to rememberall your good times together.
Its not the breadth, but the depth of feelings that are important in a relationship. Hold onto those feelings, for thats something no one or nothing can take away. Love and Light Energy~D
