Life goes on.....

I know it has been a couple of months since I last updated so I thought I would.  Things are as close to normal now as I suppose they are going to get.  I am seeing my kids a couple of times a week now and I get them everyother weekend now.  That is a wonderful part of my week.  The school year has been a challenege but nothing I cant handle yet.  My ex wife remarried last month so I figured she has moved on with her life as well.  I met the poor guy and do feel sorry for him and have made up my mind to be as kind to him as possible.  With all of the burden he has willingly taken on, I want to be the least of his worries.  My ex, of course did not introduce him or even tell me they were married. My kids are having some difficulty dealing with a new "dad" hanging around the house.  My 3 year old doesnt want to go home anymore but I am sure that is normal.  My children tell me that he is nice to them so no concers yet.  I am attending 2 aa meetings a week now.  Even when I dont feel like I need one I go.  I know how easy it is to slip back into the old way of thinking.  I am still not dating yet but who knows what God's will is.  Maybe someone will come around soon. So life is a good balanced normal now.  Beats the hell out of what I was living just over a year ago :)

Joe i am very proud of you and very happy for you. The children, especially until they get older, never want to leave one parent to go to the other, but are fine after they arrive, I remember those feelings myself as a child, my parents divorced when I was 2 and I can remember being young, and not wanting to leave my mom to go back to dads or leave my dad to go back to mom - With the ex being remarried, some of her claws may not be so intended for you now which is a good thing. The dating thing will all come about in time, you have become a wonderful person and i know that there is a wonderful woman that will compliment your life - and you are correct, God\'s will will bring her when the time is right - doesn\'t mean you shouldn\'t keep your eyes open for her though - Glad to hear that you are still attending your meetings as slipping into that way of thinking is so very easy - you are a great person and i am thrilled to hear that life is somewhat settling into a more direct path for you. Peace my friend.
