Life Goes On
I've had a few days since my official "retirement" began and I must say it is nice to be able to sleep in or get to bed late. I must confess that I need to reign in my procrastination responses that I learned so well from Dad and late hubby.
Today had to call and get new script made out for another basal insulin and filled right away. They discontinued Levemir and I did not realize I used my last dose Sat night. So I picked up that then made a trip to Aldis.Tomorrow I have a new Dr appt. with a female gyno. (i haven't gone since 1902, but you know how new family drs are. They have to update everything. Augh) Then headed over to pick up new shoes that are finally in. I also sent in black friday order to Boscov's ( and found an unused gift certificate so I saved $ and it was actually half the price, besides being on sale.)
I picked up some of my baking stuff while at Aldis so I have it on hand. I do still have to pick up extra stuff for different doughs Jellies, more p.b. and today did not get cream cheese or extra butter and eggs. It kills me to pay so much and I keep hoping things will go on sale. I won't be baking nearly as much this year but still my assortment for family and several good friends.
The temps have been pretty frigid around here but little precipitation. Today I did see some flurries. Woo hoo.

Well the new gynocologist is good. Getting these check ups ever 121 years is not often enough.
Procrastination is a family thing, you just have it engraved into your soul. Change is never easy. 12 step programs teach us to admit is the first step. The other steps come in line after the first step

I went to my new gyno and all went so well I don't dread next year. (and she told me I was a hoot. See, I take my humor everywhere. lol)
Shoes fit so well and are slip ons (no more struggles to keep the back up as I slide into them)

Congrats on the retirement! Enjoy every minute of it, you earned it! I met my new doctor this week and have to get a few things done that I’ve been putting off as well. Happy baking! That is something I don’t enjoy very much lol.
