Life as of 12/22/2013

I felt like actually writing out a journal. I want to start, I think not only will it help my train of thought, but potentially lead me to meet people I can talk to who feel the same or can at least relate. At 19 years old I did not see myself here, and that's not a bad thing I'm saying, but it's true. I've had plenty good come my way and I'm beyond happy that this has happened for me.

I remember being 17, fresh out of high school, working a part time job and a full time job, hanging out with the same two people as often as I could because they were the only people who understood me and kept me somewhat sane, thanks to them and a special friend we all know as "mary jane", oh and my camel crushes....god only knows how I'd have been without those!. I was an anxious mess because I couldn't go to college, I was working 20 hour work days, 6-7 days a weeks, I had been lonely and depressed because I had such low self esteem and had never had a boyfriend nor been with a boy because I was so insecure. I look back at all that and just think and tell myself "if only I could tell 17 year old me, 'everything is going to be ok, I promise! stop worrying and enjoy life!'". Yeah....I look back on life and think that I nearly broke my back and killed myself because I pushed myself harder than I needed too....
Here I am at 19 years old, and things have come a LONG way. I now work one job, and though it has me working 10 hour days, and I work 5-6 days a week, it's much better. I've climbed the ladder quite quickly at my job and I've only been there for a year, it's been a great thing for me. I must admit there's a lot of stress added with this job, but I'm learning to cope as best I can. I've been clean of "mary jane" for a year now, as well as those nasty camel crushes I let myself inhale! Sadly I am not a college student yet, but I'm fully ok with this. My favorite part of all the good life changing things that have happened, my boyfriend. I couldn't have been luckier to have come across him. He treats me right and has shown me what true happiness looks like. He's even helped ease a lot of my anxiety and gotten me out of my shell almost completely! It's amazing what good things can come to those who do wait. WORTH IT!

I'm just beyond happy and thought I'd start my journal process off positive as opposed to negative! It's not good I've learned and I just want to stay happy. These journals will contain vents, updates, good times, bad times. I'm always here to help others as well, it's something that makes me feel good to know I can help lift someone's spirit or help them go in the right direction, so don't ever be afraid to send me a message. I'm here to not only help myself, but others! I've had my share fair of hard stuff and I feel the least I can do is help inform and grow from sharing my stories and hearing yours!
