Life as I know it....
Hospitals seem to have taken over my life.
It's not enough that I have been an asthma sufferer since I was a toddler, I have hypermoflexibility of the joints, I developed migraine vestibular vertigo, I have been a long term PCOS patient and I am now under Interstitial Cystitis treatment.
My asthma used to get so bad my chest would feel like it was expanding on the inside and tightening on the outside somewhat, but luckily for me I did not get hospitalised with the attacks, because I have a mom who's learnt all about it and knew all the tricks of the trade to help me.
Migraine vestibular vertigo has taken many a day from me and knocked me for 6, leaving me with severe head pains, dizziness, exhaustion, sickness and neck pain. The amount of preventative medication I tried through the hospital recomendation was uneblievable but my hairdresser recommended a miracle drug that wipes the migraines away.
Hypermoflexibility caused me to dislocate and partially reset my knee during high school which led me to several long months of crutches, hobbling, and a constantly dislocating knee. I've learnt to live with it popping on and off but hopefully one day it will stop.
PCOS because a feature in my life 4 years ago. The doctors said I've had it longer but obviously we didn't find it until I was around 14, through blood tests and scans galore, which then also discovered a 7.8cyst (tumor) on my ovary. This was promotly removed and the PCOS discovered.
The PCOS gave me answers as to why I got bullied for many of the reasons I did, the fluctuating weight, the hair growth all over my body, the acne and greasy hair which the doctors sat me down and explained were all due to my imbalance of hormones which knocks off puberty. I even got bullied for not having a period. 10 years I got bullied but I can proudly say now that I don't need any of those people, the people I thought i needed..the people bullying me.
And finally, around 3 years ago, I was diagnosed with Interstitial cystitis. This was after an intense bladder infection after an operation and it knocked me further on my back for 6 months, which then invoked more tests and scans and I came out with IC. I got put on a variety of medication and got given all of the diet information needed and I got in with life flare up after flare up.
October of last year I got knocked bed bound again with the pain and a gyneacology team have ruled out gynea stuff, but I can't take anymore tablets, I'm sick of the sight of them, theres is also talks now of IBS being an added problem.
What helps everyone else?
