Letting go of the anger
I've decided to let go of the anger I feel towards my husband for leaving so soon. You see, I had warned him about his diet and especially about not getting enough sleep. I specifically told him that you need sleep to rebuild your body and failure to do so ends in death. He did not listen and find myself angry.
I can't live with this anger. It's too destructive. What's done is done. So, starting today, I've decided to focus on how happy he was in his final days. He even told me and a friend that he'd never been so happy. That he had everything he wanted and his future was brighter than every. It's sort of bittersweet, but I think I'll hang onto the fact that I had something to do with his happiness. And that he died happy which is something that all of us want.

That\'s a good thought to hang on to. When all is said and done I think we would all prefer to live happy rather than live long, both for ourselves and our loved ones. Of course, both would be the ideal. Love and hugs, Lottie
I agree, that is a good thought to hang on to. Your man knew he was loved and he was happy with that. As time goes on you will only remember all the good about your relationship and those bad memories will be long gone. You can hang on to the fact that he loved you too and the time you had together was very precious. Wishing you all the best!

Anger is one of the first steps to moving forward. It is natural to be angy for being left behind. To clean up the mess their dying left. I asked why for quite a while, and how could you. Till I realized that he would never choose to leave me and the family. He had no choice in this matter. I had no say in this matter, only God. It still hurts at times but I have to live the life that he would have wanted to me live. To be happy and to spend my time in the love of the family. Happy is different now, but it is there. He got to see all his family across the United States before he passed, and I know that it made him happy to see them. There fore, I am happy for him. Keep looking forward and cherish those happy times you shared. Hugs Jane
I too, am angry at my husband. Unfortunately I can\'t let go of it yet. Maybe I can seek some wisdom from you. I am angry because he was not wearing his bullet proof vest, and he would be here if he had been. He always said that if his guards couldn\'t afford to buy and wear one, then he wouldn\'t wear his! How stubborn! With a 15 month old daughter no less!
It is good to let go of that anger...we had know control over my husband\'s terminal cancer but he was also a diabetic and he was really bad about following the diet..he would always saying I am dying anyway..so how could I argue with him about what he ate...I think we have all done the best we could for our spouses and should feel good about it...hugs
