LETS BE UPLIFTING
HI JOURNAL,
HERE GOES.
TO ALL YOU GOOD FOLK OUT THERE,
WHO PREFER TO BE SEEN, HEARD AND LABELLED AS,
THOSE "SUFFRING" FROM PARKINSON'S "DISEASE",
TAKE HEART, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
INDEED, THERE ARE THOSE AMONG US,
WHO EXHIBIT THIS NEGATIVE DEFEATIST ATTITUDE,
FAR OUT NUMBERING, THOSE WHO DON'T.
HAVING WITNESSED, AT CLOSE HAND,
THE EFFECTS ON THIS CONFOUNDED IMPOSTER,
THAT IS PARKINSON'S CONDITION,
CAN HAVE BY ADOPTING THE ALTERNATE ATTITUDE,
ONE WONDERS AS TO WHY,
THIS ATTITUDE HAS NOT CAUGHT ON.
FIRING THE IMAGINATION OF THE MASSES,
CHANGING, CHARGING AND CHALLEGING THEM TO,
DARE TO BE DIFFERENT.
THE POSITIVE KNOCK ON EFFECTS WOULD BE ENORMOUS,
MADE BY PEOPLE DARING TO BE DIFFERENT,
OUT THERE, MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
RELUCTANT TO CHANGE,
IS THE POPULAR THEORY OF THE DAY,
AS TO THE REASONS WHY,
FOLK CONTINUE TO OFFER SYMPATHY,
WHEN THEY COULD OFFER ENCOURAGEMENT AND/OR OFFER BOTH.
SYMPATHY IS NO CURE, LET ALONE TREATMENT.
I'VE CRIED, MOANED AND LAMENTED,
NONE OF WHICH WORKED, NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT.
HAVING STOPPED AND LET GO, OF THIS HOPELESS REVERIE,
IT IS WITH SADNESS, I OBSEVE THAT WHICH IS ABROAD,
BEING HAILED AS HELPFULL AND ENCOURAGING,
WHEN IT IS NOTHING OF THE SORT.
I SEE PEOPLE SETTING THEMSELVES LIMITATIONS,
PARKINSON'S WILL DO THAT FOR YOU,
BUT ONLY IF YOU LET IT.
THE FOLLY OF IT ALL.
IF THIS IS TO BE A SUPPORT GROUP,
LET US BE UPLIFTING OF ONE ANOTHER.

Well sometimes it\'s hard to be positive, but fortunately there is hope for one of my husband\'s symptoms. Have you ever heard of Blephosparsms? It is execessive blinking and it tires the eyes and interferes with driving. Fortunately they can give botox around the eyes to help. It\'s suppose to last 3 months, but the first time it only lasted a month. He just got his second treatment so we are hoping it will last longer this time. I know a helps to have a good attitude with this disease, but sometimes you need help to feel that way. It would be depressing to have to give up your driver\'s license, but with this treatment we hope it won\'t happen.
good to hear you are doing well.
