Let the Rant commence

This morning I got up and looked around the house, went into the cat's room to see the box had not been cleaned out.  Roomie does nothing to help around the house.  He sat on the couch this morning bitching about how his work truck had a gps on it and that he had received his 2nd email about speeding whereas I said "Then don't speed" or "Give the truck back, ask for a gas allowance for your own vehicle and be done with it".  He wants to argue that he is being discriminated against based on the fact that not all trucks have gps's on them.  If he quits his job over this I think I will blow a gasket.

He's taken the last 3 days off and the house still looks the same.  I bought Chinese food last night for dinner so I made sure we had dinner.  There's never any forward thought in his mind at all and this is what I have a problem with.  I pay my half of the rent and bills, sleep in the other bedroom, do all the laundry and clean the house.  I think I can argue I do more than my fair share.  I'm going to start looking at apartments soon.  When he finds this out he will do everything he can to keep me there.  Last time, he asked me to marry him via text message to get me to come back-this worked-however in counseling I've found he's just been manipulating me and that he's too old to change.  He's a good person, but, I ain't his housekeeper.  I could see if maybe he picked up more of the expense but he'd rather me pay my fair share and do all the rest.  Oh well.....Ill keep charging FORWARD.

Work is going good.  I just want to focus on doing the best I can and make myself valuable.  Tonight, I am going to sit down and write a list of things I'd like for the new year and focus on those things.  I decided I will stop looking for a partner once I am out on my own.  I relaize I don't need someone to make me a whole person-I've been taking care of business this past year and haven't given myself the credit I deserve.

Roomie sounds like one of the uncounted co-workers and acquaintances I've cut off from the dreary STBX rants with comments such as, "It's cheaper to hire a mechanic. (housekeeper, handyman or whatever." I hope the ranting helped, Sage. Sometimes it does.

Yay you for keeping your eye on the prize in the work camp. Insert BTO here.
"Take good care of business and it will be okay. Work it now. Just work it."

I find that I get along better with my ex wife, when I don't have to live with her...We are just two, very different people.

I enjoy living alone right now but that may change in the future.. :)
