Leaving Anxiety Group

I am leaving one of the large groups in this forum. I have left the anxiety group as they do not want to allow swearing in the healing process.

I had a very bad day a few days ago and posted a discussion thread about control, or the lack thereof. Someone answered, and then the thread was closed. Up to this point, I still am uncertain as to why this post was closed. The moderator that closed the post has yet to tell me the reason for the post being closed, and in response told me that even if there had not been a comment made that they would have closed it anyway due to a warning that was placed at the beginning of it.

The warning was placed there because while I swear, other people do not, and some may not like it. The warning was there so if you don't like swearing you can stop reading now.

I am here to discuss topics towards healing, I do not want to be limited to healing in someone else's way. I feel like I being limited because this moderator does not like swearing. So my solution is to tell people, and then leave the group.

I found your post in the anxiety forum and was expecting the worst...but you hardly used any swear words. Personally, I don't swear, but I'm not offended by those who do, especially if they're going through a tough time like you are. I think you were right to put a warning, and people can choose to read your post or not. In my opinion, it was wrong of the CL to close your thread. Most other groups allow some mild swearing, as long as it isn't directed toward anyone in the group.

BTW, did you notice that the CL reposted what you wrote, without the swear words?

No, I did not. I will have to look into this. Thank you for the heads up.

Update...I am even more upset by further developments. As I was told above, the moderator in question, went without permission and rewrote my post without any swear words, and posted it to the group that I left because this moderator closed my post without giving me a good enough reason (or sharing the comment that closed it).
I went, and tried to discuss this matter with another moderator (I thought they were a moderator for the anxiety group), and was told that the only courses of action that I have are to either discuss with the moderator in question or to further escalate this problem to DS staff.

Unfortunately, as I am not going to discuss this with the moderator who has done these things, it has been escalated.
