Learning to Love Life Again

Dear John,  Thanks again for putting such a great guy in my life.  I know you, mom and dad had to have something to do with it because ya'll always wanted the best for me.  Well we went to his son's graduation and it was rough as his worst nighmares came true, his son didn't even acknowledge him.  Today is his daughter's mass as she is going to the 8th grade and will be going to the High School now.  I know it will be rough as his ex will be served with papers today as he is going for full custody.  He knows he probably won't get it but he wants a relationship with his kids and his ex is keeping them away.  The girls and grandkids spent the weekend with us and we had a blast, bowling, slip and slidding the old fashioned way, water balloon fights and baseball with the grandkids.  We were all exhausted even the dogs we all crashed.  All I could think of was how much you would have enjoyed it, but I know you are a huge reason that made it possible.  You had so much love and enjoyed and instilled in your kids how important family is and they truly do enjoy family gatherings.  I am sure his neighbors were all watching through their windows as your daughters were in their bikinis and acting like kids.  But it was so good to see the smile on their faces.  They are truly starting to enjoy life again, it will never be the same without you, but life does go on and they do need to be happy.  Well baby until we meet again take care and love you always.  Dra'
