Learning again!

Reading a book about rebuilding after a relationship ends and one of the assignments was to write a list of 20 things that you love about yourself.  It took me a good 45 minutes just to think of 10 things.  I kept saying to myself "What do people like about me".  I think I am really starting to understand myself and why my marriage is ending.  I never learned how to take and only knew how to give.  I also dont think I paid enough attention to the details of my wife and the life we lead.  We both used to smoke and would go out on our back deck after we got home from work and we would talk and smoke cigarette after cigarette and just talk to eachother.  Once we quit smoking that stopped and we stopped really talking to each other.  I know for me that I didnt look or did I not want to see that things were not what they were.  At the end of the day, I think I am starting to learn who I really am, what I really want and that I need to do me first and then be thier for others (Kids first of course).  I thought one of the coolest things that the book told me to do was to write a list of things that I want to do for me.  List ranges from getting a foot and leg massage to finding new "Real" friends, in person that is!  Feel like my children are doing better and I think we are on the right path now.  Thanks to all of my DS family for making time for all of my crazy posts and really being honest with your opinions and ideas.  Air high fives to all!!!!!!!!!!
