Learning
Well, the extra furniture is gone. It's amazing how much more space I have in the living room. Been trying to get rid of it for 2 years. I will miss the armchair. Though I seldom sat in it, it was handy during the winter to keep my coats on. At times, there were four coats on it. Guess I'll have to be neater and put them away when I get home. The walker and basket have come and I'm learning to use them. The extra space allows me to got from the kitchen to the living room and computer room with the walker. There's still not enough space in the bedroom to use it. I'll use the 2 canes in there and the bathroom. And, steps are a no-go with the walker,,especially the side steps that are so narrow that I lean against the side of the house to use them. Hopefully, I won't have to use them much longer. The knee "pops" or "clicks" every once and a while when I get out of a chair. Kinda scares me when it happens. Makes me think it's getting worse and I may not be able to get up again. Can't wait for the surgery. Want to walk again with little or no pain or a limp. Want to get back to work. It's been far too long. According to the orthopedist, I have a mild case of arthritis so maybe there won't be any or little pain from it. I can only hope.
