Leaning II

Despite the bumps and dings, yesterday proved to be a restfully productive day. My macho man managed to get the major appliances moved, all by himself. He was walking in an upright position as of bedtime and seemed far more mellow for having channeled some of his agression. Seemed. . . This is The Wifenator leaving the old man to sort his own. In you I trust, Babycakes. I slept through most of the show.

The extra rest was quite restorative. I feel fit and able to move the rest of the kitchen and bathroom at a restful pace while plying therapy tools to the hope of greeting the children with optimistic stability on their return the day after tomorrow. I have notions of moving my personal stuff one need at a time. There are no compelling timelines for having this old house emptied. The decision on what to do with this old wreck of rental history is not very high on the LFL this week. The top two items on The List continue to be stability for this little ship of fools and catch up on the projects which were already in motion when this storm season started back in June.

The first of the furniture deliveries is due in this afternoon. Mattresses and loaner bed frames to serve until the bedroom sets arrive. I will be breaking a promise to the older sibs to have their first ever dressers and mirrors of their very own when they get back. Neither of them have ever slept alone and the notion frightens them, so I donae expect them to be much impressed with beds of their own, but I am kinda hoping that the total package will impress them enough to help them forget the promise of dressers awaiting their return. The bedroom sets will arrive soon enough.

Still stepping small, praying big and letting God lead the dance. . . I think we really are okay, grief, confusion and all. Just praying. . .

I too am listening along with Jewells, Arfie.

I’m glad the hubs safely moved the major appliances in. Sometimes I find the more vigorous of labors the most beneficial in some situations. It’s as if the strain and exhaustion cleanses my mind, and gives me a fresh start.

Best wishes in the LFL and priorities to come.

Hugs & love!

Whoa--hub did move the major appliances all by himself, arfie? He channeled more than aggression to get that done. Wow. Glad you slept through most of it and got that rest you needed. I like how you mention stepping small while praying big. Doing that with you today.
