Lawsuit Lotto 3
Back when I worked the literal toxic clean-up crews, there was frequent discussion of how grateful we were to be ignorant of the political struggles which preceded the work orders which set our piece of the process in motion. Flashbacks to those conversations got me wondering if I was thinking like an engineer again when I set to dialing the numbers for the clean-up crews. I shifted the focus to the legal calls and immediately started short-circuiting. I called K for emotional support. We spent more of the day psychobabbling than contacting lawyers. Letting today be a new day. . .
There has been an odd evolution in my relationship with Persilly since I went into my renewed round of keeping her nose out of my crotch. Where she used to nag me with nudges, she is now using throaty dog sounds. A nag remains a nag. Shut up, dog!! She is noisier today than I have heard in our six year relationship. Ever.

General support vibes. No idea what's up with Persilly, but avoiding lawyers always seems healthy to *me*...
Law is one of the fields I tested high for in career assessment tests in the 70's. I even gave it consideration but decided against it because of my intense opposition to the the trends in the field. The age of the frivolous lawsuit and civil liberty robbing legislation was well underway by then. I have since avoided lawyers like the cultural plague since then.
Unpacking that psycho-baggage figures mightily in this morning's strictly personal psychosis.
Persilly is a first rate emotional support dog. I am translating her new noises as, "I'll do whatever it takes to reach you, Silly Human." Nope. Haven't bothered with the legal schmegal it takes to get her certified.
Baby D always mimic my emotions when dealing with others. Maybe as support or caution, not sure.
I think all dogs are support dogs, Persilly sounds like she is good at her job. lol So glad you have K for support since you are there with the Fam.
continued good wishes for quick resolutions and a trip home to rest.
triple hugs~
The cats always know when I need to get out of my head. Maybe Persilly is suggesting such? I don't know. But the cats are reliable indicators. Actually, so are a few neighborhood dogs. Y'know hwat, never mind....
I tested high for legal, but I was told this around the time I had seen a movie about legal students, and Hollywood convinced me it was a no-go. THank you, Hollywood!
throaty dog sounds even if it is a nag, is better In my book then the dreaded loud bark or the crotch poke. talk to her and see if you can build a clearer verbal exchange? you may be surprised when she tells you this is the pre-spring time best for looking over the river terrain... walking good... explore better er er er
Still not with the family. Still praying I'll be able to get the contractor fiasco cleaned up far enough to get that family visit. YS (Daddy) tells me my granddaughter is using complete sentences now, though she is still too young to appreciate Skype. She was barely walking the last time I saw her. The ache of missing that family is strong enough to cast a shadow over the entire river region. It might be the first time in my silver-streaked life that I can't seem to find solace in a watershed.
Update:
I have an appointment Friday with the same law firm which handled the closing on this house. Good thing I put my engineer logics aside this morning. The lawyer seemed quite certain that cleaning up the contractor's physical mess could, indeed, feed a creative lawsuit.
Will I ever see my grandchildren again?
I understand that of missing family. I lost my connections with most of my extended family after the rape and the few others barely talk to me..... Wish you can see your grandchildren again soon!! Hugs xx
