Late night thoughts

Tonight I have company,
A visitor who is not welcome here.
Yet he continues to barge in unexpectedly,
Without warning or any care.
Tonight I have company,
A visitor in my head,
he makes my thoughts run wild,
Telling me lies I convince myself to believe.
Tonight I have company,
A visitor who causes my head to hang low,
Saying I am undeserving, unlovable and unhinged.
Tonight I have company,
A visitor who tries to remind me of my past,
Who says I will never change,
Things will only get worse and I better act fast.
Tonight I have company,
A visitor who says I have no escape, no where to hide, no where to go.
But like I said before,
This visitor tells lies,
And nothing but lies.
Tonight I have company,
A visitor who I can’t flee from on my own.
But I call upon my Lord, my God, All Mighty King from above.
Lord, you said faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains,
And I trust you won’t forget.
Tonight I had company,
Who came out of no where, but the Lord never leaves me,
So truly, there is nothing to fear.
