I started Remeron about 3 weeks ago. It has improved my mood and I have gained about 10 pounds. I am where I want to be. I weighed about 126 and I am 5 foot 6. Now I weigh 136 I am about right. I am cutting the med down to every 3 days. We will see what will happen.
I had a respiratory infection. Still tapering off the Prednisone. It has left me more sensitive to "triggers". Not sure that it is going away. Although it has gotten better. Smoke, temp changes, exertion, cold wind or just wind in general. It just seems that it is worse this time.
I stopped the research study that I have been in. I was possibly taking Daliresp or possibly a placebo. Also was asked to use Symbicort instead of Dulera. Bottom line is I started in Nov and my FEV1 was 32. As of February 7th it declined to 27. It was checked 4 times over that period i believe. Each time it went down. Now I have started back on Dulera. Feeling better whether it is getting over the resp infection, the antidepressant, or starting back on the Dulera and/or off the Daliresp. Go back to doc mid April, can see if I have improved any.
My daughter of 17 has been telling lots of people at her school that I need a lung transplant and that everyone in her family smokes. My husband is a closet smoker for many years. I was for a numerous amount of years. Age 15 to 42. Never smoked a lot and would quit for a few years here and there. My oldest son also smokes. Anyway I feel as if my predicament has become show and tell for attention. My oldest son's girlfriend is in a few of her classes. It's funny because there is a nurse that I work with and her daughter is also in with my daughter in some classes. She has a story to tell about a family member with each physical ailment that has been brought up. We have laughted about it. Again I felt this was a bit private at this point. Not a topic for gossip. Just found out and plan to talk to her today.

Ladybug, I wish you well, and I hope that changing back to your pre-study meds helps you in many ways. Soft smile I think I have a thigh that weighs as much as you (just kidding).
Maybe sharing is how your daughter copes with the health issues your having. I am not a doc and I don\'t play one on TV, but we all have or create coping mechanisms when we need them.
Please take care, Bill
