Last night and today 3/27

Last night was a late night for me. I wanted a glass of wine, but that's a no-go since all I have is port. Went for a hard cider instead and all is good. Slept pretty well last night, though I could have been happy sleeping later. Today I had to be in the office. It wasn't so bad after having a day at home yesterday. Clearly I am not cut out for full-time work in an office. hehe
At least I've been productive today, finalizing the one project that has to go out next week. All done on my part--nothing left to do. The editor takes it home and my people are happy next Wednesday. Yay!
Monday I'll turn my mind onto the other project. Tonight I have quite a bit of homework to do--mostly reading and some prep for writing. I'll write my 3-page critique tomorrow and hope I'll be able to take the exam as well. then Sunday I get to see my mom, sister and her kids for some early Easter fun. DH gets to drive and I get to rest or read on the trip. Depends on whether I've taken that exam yet!
The thing I'm looking forward to the most is sleeping on on Saturday. Aaaaahhhhh.

Update: I spent my afternoon trudging around with the kids. Well, not really. I went to pick them up and got almost home when a teacher called to tell me Connor forgot his \"spring break packet.\" So we turned around at the church and headed back to school. Of course we got that right in time for the middle school pick up jam, so after a few minutes of sitting in line, we parked in the far end of the lot and walked to the building. We had some fun running in and grabbing his packet and playing a few games along the way. I was really way too tired for all of it, but it was fun. Got home and got some serious rest. Not sleep mind, but a few minutes of quiet--no talking, no tv, no pressure. Ahhhhh....Then DH got home and wanted to go out to dinner. I thought about and decided that I had enough energy for it provided there was 1) no crowd and 2) no wait. So we picked a breakfast restaurant (Bob Evans) and went there. Perfect. Relaxing, fun, time to talk and get my older son laughing. Got home and the boys went to bed without fuss. I got my article read and my paper half written to look up and see the clock after 11pm! Nice to be able to say, I\'m ending this night on a 4 on the exhaustion scale. Took my bath, got some nice clean sheets on the bed. Now I\'m off to use it!
