Last night and forever

Last night went very well. We went out for pizza and it's the 2nd best pizza I've had. You can't compete with pizza from Chicago or the hotdogs from Portillo's. Portillo's is so good, it was even mentioned in the Ozark series when they were going to move back to Chicago. Went back home for some unmentionable young people activities and we have discussed something recently.

If she gets pregnant, we will have to get married quickly. I didn't feel against it at all like something told me I should be worried. We're both set in our jobs and other than getting a bigger nicer place to live, there isn't anything big we need. Thing is, if she gets pregnant and then married,  that's going to look bad on her students. This is a very old fashioned place so to her 4th graders, that's how it works.

Should I consider asking her anyway? We are as perfect for each other as people can get. Our personalities, interest and even our kink fits like a glove. I'll never forget the first time I heard her voice. "Omg Marley" lol. I think that dumb dog was ment to get lose that day.

Thanx y'all and CaliforniaItalianlover, did you use to live in Chicago? AnxietyLife09, you need to go. Find a place that looks authentic and the hotdogs at Portillo's is to live for. If you ever watched Ozark, they mention the place when they were going to move back. It was filmed in Chicago and a few shots were filmed around the Ozarks but the rest was down here by Atlanta. Atlanta is now basically east Hollywood. There's a ton of stuff filmed there including Cobra Kai. Trying to think of stuff you would watch.

How long have you two been dating now? I am the old fashioned one who keeps telling you to hold off until you've been dating 12 months. It is typically not wise to get married before dating "long enough" and that is typically advised to be 12-18 months of dating before engagement.

Are you guys being "safe" and using birth control? I realize this can fail. You will be learning more about her in the first several years of marriage and arguing a lot to work things out. Add in the stress of having a child instantly and things get stressful. It is normal process that even the best marriages or most compatible couples go through. There are adjustments of living and budgeting and paying bills. Who will be in charge of this or that? Who is more dominant in other words and YES, couples do go through this stuff the first year or so of marriage.

The good thing is you two seem very compatible and have a deep abiding love.

The USA has a first marriage statistic of 50% divorce rate so we want to do our best to be "statistic proof". I think you asking us on here what should you do shows you are not ready exactly yet. And that is okay, be mindful.

What might help you two is to find a counselor who will do premarital counseling. Might be a pastor as this is considered very old fashioned. But they will talk to you about issues that you think you don't have right now. They will do things like budgeting and financial issues. You will know her a lot better and you will know yourself a lot better. You guys will have a better chance at success with premarital counseling.

So glad that you had a wonderful time! From everything you've described, she sounds super sweet. It's great to hear how happy you are.

Regarding proposing, only you can answer that question. It does sound like you both are pretty settled. How long have you been dating? Generally speaking, it can take up to six months before people start to show their true colors. It appears the two of you have talked about your future quite a bit. Do your goals and dreams seem to align? How do each of you handle conflict, and are those styles compatible? These might be additional questions to ask yourself when making life-altering decisions about marriage and family.

Wishing you two a very happy future together, married or not. Hugs.

Wow I didn't see these. A lot of questions. We met 6 months ago today and I gave it 3 days before going over to see Marley. Lol. She told me I can come over to see him so I did. We're both equally dominant and we switch often. Even several times a session. She is on the pill and it works. It worked on an ex of mine too so that's a good invention.
