Laser for VIN 3 with biopsy
I had my surgery yesterday and as I found limited information thought I would journal it .
I was having a general anesthetic so nothing to eat from midnight. Arrived at the hospital and thenurses ask lots of the usual questions about when you last ate or drank; false teeth etc. walked to OR and spoke with surgeon and anethastist. I was told that I would have biopsies if any areas were looking particularly abnormal and laser on those and maybe other areas.
I woke up with no pain as I found I had been given a long acting numbing injection down there! The surgeon came to see me and explained she had taken two biopsies and lasered three areas. She explained it as a clock face looking at her - lasered The top and right side of the skin on the hood of the clitoris and on the vulvar from noon to 3 laser around 4 from 6 to 8. Biopsy at 9 and 6.
She said she would call with the results of the biopsies next week.
I had a 5 hour car Journey home and it was bearable as I was numb but I had bad sickness and headache from the ga.
