Cypress is readily available, suitable for lightweight construction, is very naturally durable and stable. Cypress is a character-rich timber with dark knots common, colour is yellow-brownish. I have normal floorboards for half the house, and 13mm payed on yellow tounge and they feel pretty much the same. The yellow tounge ones are a little more solid, but no warmer. That's what I love about wood – even if it gets knocked around it still looks good. A light sand and a recoat will get wood floorboards looking fresh again.

The boards were polished 13 years ago and during that time the house was rented for a few years when I moved interstate. So with the tenancy and us they’ve had a hard life. I have polished boards with two kids and two dogs. I don’t worry about shoes, high heels, toys, spillage, or furniture moving. The boards take everything with class, and being hardwood a few dints add character. I think that every house should have one in the tool box.
So the team came and refreshed my lounge suite and carpet. They did a great job of cleaning the tiles and the grout looked so much better. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.Will be giving them a call shortly as it is now time to have a thorough spring clean. I find tiles are easier to maintain than floor boards.A quick vacuum and mop is all it needed and it hid the dirt well..whereas floor boards collects dust and hair etc.. Timber floorboards are nice to look at..the floating /laminate looks cheap and nasty I'd rather tiles instead. Unfortunately, vinyl often gets damaged beyond the point of simple maintenance.
