Laidback

I don't know what's up with me lately. I am just not too motivated to make journal entries during the good weather. I'm not down or anything...just sort of relaxing and letting things be. I still go to wallyworld to do my daily walk and to check my BP at their pharmacy. My BP meds are doing the job. My BP and pulse rate are fine. Finally.  Last Friday my wife and I joined another couple and went out for dinner and then to the ball game. The place we ate at was downtown and has an "early bird special" that includes salad, an entree and dessert ...plus FREE parking for dinner and the ball game. It is located on the 40th floor and has some terrific views...or so I've heard. The ladies were afforded the seats looking out the panoramic windows at the view while the other husband and I had a view of the restaurant interior. At least we were the first to know when the food came. (I know...poor Tom) . Actually it was very nice. When I wanted to see the view I only had to turn my head slightly. There was a bit of excitement. One poor couple at the table next to us  had to leave suddenly. I was wondering about their abrupt depature until I overheard the couple with them tell the waiter that they had forgotten their tickets. As for the ball game...well, dinner was nice. The poor Cards got thumped. Maybe the folks who had forgotten their tickets were the lucky ones. Still, the weather was great, our seats were good  and the new stadium has escalators (Something I appreciate more these days) ..and it was summertime and baseball. Win or lose..that's still a good deal.Otherwise, nothing much going on. Let me check my calendar for today. Hmmm, it seems to be free. Retirement is rough.Have a great week.Tom
