lack of support

I don't know  why I try sometimes. My boyfriend just criticizes everything I try to do with this new cat I adopted and how I want to introduce her to the other pets. The two cats were making progress until one snuck in the bedroom with the new one and they were close to a fight. Boyfriend just says let them fight it out. Yet I have learned from experienced others and from reading that intro's need to go slow. I'm trying to do something good and he just dismisses every comment or thought I have. And it's not just the cats it's the dogs, the house, money. I feel like I should just give up on it all. Let the dog pee on the floor, let them turn our power off, let a cat get hurt so bad they die because we don't have the money for a major vet bill. Obviously me caring is useless.
