labour day

it has been awhile since I've written a journal. This last week or so I have been a little tired and my breathing has changed. I was hoping it was just weather related but it has cooled off and the humidity has gone and I feel like I have congestion and a really good deep cough would clear it away....but it never goes away. I ordered a pulse-ox meter so that I can start to monitor my O2 levels myself to see where I stand. I haven't heard anything from either doc about the new med that they wanted to try. I feel like I am in limbo......
I did get the railings and pickets painted on the front deck and I made some muffins today. I found a suitcase for my trip out west and a nice carryon tote too. I am all set to go except forthe packing...lol I am a bit apprehensive because I am going to have to let my son know all the details about my illness and how serious it is. we haven't kept it from him, I just don't want them to worry. My daughter knows more because she is around more. Since he is so far away and can't do anything I haven't shared all the gory details with him yet, I know it will be better in person.
I guess I am a bit down since the last pft and the decline in function....maybe I have been in denial of how serious this is.....I mean I 'know' how bad it is but have I let myself really accept it yet. Not that I am giving in to it but I have noticed I have been less than enthusiastic lately and this is my favourite time of year and I want to enjoy it.
I am still enjoying the reaction my hair cut is getting....LOL We went to walmart today to get a few things for the muffins and my friend (she is always talking about how bad things are for her) she comes up to me and looks at me like I am dying and she hugs me and wants to know how I am and I just found it comical, now because I look like I am sick she is all concerned.......whatever, I shouldn't be bitter, but did she ever listen to anything I said!
My yoga schedule changed so I have to figure out what time works best now, ans I never heard anything back from "the wellness clinic" (misnomer) so I am going to call the chinese medicine place and find out about the acupuncture and hopefully get in this week.
I am still oving the ipad and being able to do everything from such a small thing, it will be great on my trip.....I have to get online and check out when "Wicked" woll be in toronto again (should be soon) My daughter and I are going to see it. So when I get back from out west maybe I can head to Toronto ans spend a few days with her and get to know her bf a little more......as long as my health stays stable.
I am a bit concerned about flying and not catching anything, i am bringing some wipes but i don't know if I should wear a mask or not. I have been really making sure I get all my vitamins and supplements in. I should send my homeopath an email and ask her what she would recommend.
I have been doing some research into 'healing a leaky gut' because she thinks that I might have it and the diet she gave me is REALLY restrictive.
Well i am off to scrub with a loufah and soak in epsom salts and then watch the Closer......

Hello....I hope you enjoy your trip; that should be great for your \"spirits\"...I have been feeling fairly well of late...just can;t do a lot because of the breathing dificulty under exertion.
You DO seem to be doing quite a lot though.....painting, baking, shopping. I tend to not have a lot of \"ambition\" when it comes to doing such things; although i do try to take a brief walk daily. You have my very best wishes..............

the news about the lung function was a shock and as such vaccinations and protective masks in public spaces sounds like a good preventative. accupuncture too. number one son will be sad but proactive like you in managing the health issues as they arise. but it\'s a worry that can only stay at the back of one\'s mind with persistence and persuasion at times. eradicating it and saying or hearing \"everything will be fine\" can be as exasperating too lol. it is only a matter of days is it not, for you to see your son? he will be excited at your arrival.

I found the best thing for leaky gut and I have to order some more after my two month hiatus. It is sold by Amazon Herb Co. If you are interested let me know and I\'ll look up the exact product. I believe it is marketed as an intestinal cleanse, but I know what it is by the ingredients. It really works, but the first few days are uncomfortable. What this product does is block the tiny holes that cause the leaky gut and you feel very full for a few days, but then it is much easier.

I\'m glad that you are choosing acupuncture over a ND. I went to a ND and spent a ton of $ only to find out that my herbalist and I knew more than the ND. They were mainly helping people lose weight, they had never seen a case like mine. I chose the wrong one, but acupuncture has helped me so much more. You will love it. Make sure the practitioner is licensed and expect a long first appt. Just to let you know, after treatments you cannot shower, drink alcohol, have sex, and you are supposed to stay away from electrical stuff and let the qi flow. These treatments will take your meditation to a whole new level. I can\'t wait to hear what you think about it. You will probably have to go once/week at first then the practitioner will see how you are doing and set up a schedule from that point.

If you don\'t want to wear a mask (and I don\'t blame you) up your vitamin C and D and take some zinc. Even if you are already on these, take more; unless you are at the max amount.

I know the talk with your son is adding some stress, to say the least. You are also doing a lot of proactive things on your part to heal. Let him know all, he\'ll be worried but I think he\'ll feel better once he knows how strong his mom has been. Once that is out of the way, you can enjoy your beautiful boy. Don\'t they always stay boys to mom? Mine is six, just can\'t imagine him growing up, but it seems like yesterday that I was potty training him. Time fies. Wishing you the very best and have fun!! I will tack on to what every one else said about having a wonderful trip and enjoying yourself and the stress about the Talk with your son. But no doubt, seeing you in person and feeling your strength will be a blessing to him. You exude courage and when he sees how proactive you are being.. he will come to grips with everything... just remember... he\'s a man... might take him a while to get on the train of thought and get back to the station but he will get there.

Wishing you the best of all things.

Peace, Love and Hugs

Have a wonderful trip. I know it will be a positive visit with your son. I\'m sure he will appreciate you telling him in person. This way all the questions that come to mind, you will be able answer right then and there. Stay strong. and have a positive attitude.
Will be thinking of you. Hugs and love Nance
