LA Adventure winding down to a close.

I have been in the LA area for about a week now. My cousin and his wife are excellent hosts that have shown the town. I've seen cars that I may never see anywhere remotely close to the dusty lil Texas town I call home. I visited the LA car show yesterday with a slight hangover possibly still intoxicated from the night before. Coming from the middle of nowhere West Texas, you'd never get to see these types of things. Beautifully crafted exotic cars and even sexier women. You sure don't see them like that anywhere near where I live. The night before started out with a restaurant that serves garlic with everything, even the ice-cream. But it was damn good. Then we went to downtown LA where we hit The Standard Rooftop Bar. Beautiful sexy women everywhere. At one point I questioned why I ever got married. Then I questioned why I am till married. Then I questioned my questions by questioning myself asking why not just quit and look at all the pretty people walk by me. I did manage to get a few pics in looking at the LA skyline. Then we went to some cocktail lounge  that revolves. Not my cup of tea. But the drinks were very strong. After that we went Over the Hill to Beverly Hills and finished off the night at The Rainbow Room. Now the Rainbow Room is where the big stars go to get wasted. Big stars. Lots of them are now dead but you get the point. I didn't meet any big faces but apparently there are lots of people who frequent the place because I saw a shit load of them from the night before. Maybe they never left. This place sells some of the biggest sliced pizza I have ever seen. Well not that big but it surprised me. As I was walking out I got pinned down with people trying to buy off my pizza. Of course I sold a few but only the very pretty ladies got a slice for free.  Note to self... If at the Rainbow Room, buy more than one pizza with extra cheese and mushrooms. Cali girls love mushrooms.
I stayed in the house most of the week venturing out a bit. But I was here to relax. I knew with the weekend coming we would go out, so I just rested up.  It sucks that I will be leaving tomorrow. I really don't want to jump back into reality. This has been just a surreal experience for me.  Maybe in another 2 years I can come back with my best friend Anthony if he isn't married by then.  I know he'd love it here. He's that country boy who moved to DFW area and never looked back. Shit I may just lose him to California.
I can go home now and maybe look at life a little different. Maybe I won't be so frustrated with my wife. I really do miss her. But I miss the kids even more.
